Admissions

Admission to DCW is carefully monitored to ensure proper selection. Applicants to XI-Year intermediate Science, Commerce or Humanities must have completed their SSC from any Board or should have appeared in any equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi {BIEK}, in the respective faculty.

Details:

The students should fall in one of the following categories, to be entitled for consideration of admission to the respective faculty (Students who have secured following % in SSC Exam).

Applicants to B.Sc, B.Com and B.A Part-I should have qualified HSC examination Karachi Board or should have cleared an equivalent examination from any other board and must fulfil the admission criteria of the related faculty.

For admission to Degree Arts an interview will be conducted for the selection of optional subjects.

Applicants to the Masters programme in Economics should be qualified in B.A / B.Com / B.Sc. {with Economics} B.Sc {Mathematics or Statistics or Physics} from any recognized University.

Admissions are strictly on merit, based on their performance in Board / University examination. Clearing an aptitude test is mandatory for:

  • English Elective
  • Fine Arts
  • Mathematics

Failing which another subject will have to be chosen.

Note: Students need to study the three compulsory subjects and take up an IT course. Beside the 4 subjects they also need to select a total of three subjects from the following groups. The students must choose any One subject from each group.
