3rd Fatima Sughra Memorial Sports Gala was organized at DHACSS College for Women from January 20-24,2020.
The opening ceremony of the Gala was held on January 20 followed by the matches played on the second and third day of the Gala.
This Sports Gala comprised two categories-under 17 and under 19.In the first category 8 teams and in the second category 6 teams from various educational institutions of Karachi participated.
The gala proved to be a healthy activity for young players.They were in high spirits and played enthusiastically to win but this is rightly said, "Winning is not everything but wanting to win Is!"
At the end of all matches a prize distribution ceremony was held on January 24,2020 in the college auditorium to encourage and acknowledge the efforts made by the players.
The renowned cricketers Maham Magsi and Hurain Sajjad graced the occasion as the chief guests.They highly encouraged and appreciated the performance and efforts of all the young players .A short video was also shown to the audience regarding the 'No Plastic' campaign of the College .In this connection jute bags were also presented to all esteemed guests to encourage them to use recycled stuff and to say 'NO' to plastic.Later
Prizes and certificates were distributed by the esteemed cricketers accompanied by principal ,Dr.Farhat Agha.The gala ended on a happy note.
