All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2020

Declamation/Debates contests play a very crucial role in overall grooming and personality development of students. Such contests teach students how to disagree with others’ viewpoints respectfully on the basic of rational arguments.

            It is commendable that the debating society of DHACSS College for Women is maintaining its glorious traditions of oratory by picking up themes from contemporary issues for its declamation since 1991. In this regard the All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest was organized in the college Auditorium on Wednesday February 12, 2020. This Event was organized by the Debating Society of the College under the kind guidance of the Principal Dr. Farhat Agha.

            The Chief Guest of the programme was a renowned and esteemed orator Prof Dr. Mehmood Ghaznavi, Chairman Mass Communication Department, University of Karachi whereas Dr. Ambreen Haseeb Amber graced the occasion as a Guest of Honour.

 Ms. Madiha Rehman, Mr. Agha Sherazi, Ms. Syeda Nasreen Ejaz and Dr. Rubina Sarwar adjudicated the speeches.

 The Chief Guest, Dr. Mehmood Ghaznavi appreciated the zeal and oratory skills of the participants.

 Dr. Ambreen Haseeb Amber worthy Guest of Honour in her address congratulated the efforts of the college in organizing the declamation. She recited some beautiful verses from her collection of poetry.

           Dr. Ambreen Haseeb Amber, Guest of Honour awarded certificates and prizes to the participants and presented mementos to the esteemed judges Dr. Rubina Sarwar was presented a shield as a college memento to acknowledge her unrivalled efforts to establish the debating society of DHACSS College for Women. Later Dr. Farhat Agha, Principal DHACSS College for Women presented a shied to the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour.

            The event proved to be a milestone for the participants on the way
