The Pulse Society of DHACSS College for Women organized its 32nd program in the College auditorium. The event commenced with an informative seminar on cancer awareness, with Dr. Bushra Abbas, a resident at the Radiology Diagnostic Department at Indus Hospital, as the esteemed guest speaker. In her lecture she emphasized the various risk factors that can contribute to this disease and strongly advocated for adopting a healthy lifestyle as a preventive measure. She stressed on maintaining good habits and balanced diet, since these choices are vital in reducing the risk factors. She advised the students to prefer organic food and refrain from processed one.
The lecture concluded on an engaging question and answer session which proved to be both interactive and inquisitive. At the end of the session, the guest speaker was presented with a plant by Dr.Farhat Agha,Principal DCW,symbolizing appreciation and the college’s commitment to eco-friendly environment.
Moreover, an in-house poster competition was also organized by the Pulse Society in the college gymnasium focusing on the themes of Nanotechnology and Camelids, since the current year is the international year of camelids. Many students eagerly participated in the poster competition and displayed their creativity and research on these advanced topics as young scientists.
The program was a successful blend of education, health awareness, and innovative scientific discussion, promoting both community health and scientific curiosity among the students.
